Hi everyone,

First of all I must to say that "SOBI2 import plugin" is really great soft. I've imported almost 1300 entries in less than 10 minutes
I'm using Sobi2 component as products catalog and I've got some questions about images importing. I'm working with TradeDoubler and Product Feed funcionality to generate some products. I've build CSV files like instruction said.

In my generated/edited CSV file I have columns (examples):

That URL's are external. I don't have those files on my server. Is it possible to import images from external server/domain? Or, if this is impossible, how to import those images in quckiest way you know? When I'm trying to import file with images information I have error like this below:

Hello, the files need to be on the server (we use the copy function). I see an another solution for you. Create a new custom field > text field > on the botton set the media option (in the list box), and then import the www.site.com/image.jpg information in this field, the images will be displayed.

Thank you for your reply Cedric. About Entries and images located on my server.. how should it looks like? Is it URL or server path? Could you give me an example of that?

Ok, that looks nice. What about imported images size? Is it possible to import images with size I have defined in component configuration?

Hello,

Use the function from the plugin to create the template CSV file, then you see the path from YOUR server for the images!


The imported image or icons, are resized exactly like the sobi function.

If you use the way I have explained (link over images), the the original images are used.

Thank you Cédric. I will choose server upload method (import images directly from my server). I have generated CSV file but there is only text like this below:

Possible values for lists:
/images... /images... ?

So, what that "/images..." means? "templates/images/" or "[root]/images/"?
